Cockshutt 40 govoner

When the Cocoksutt 40 was purchased it had a cracked block. The engine was replaced with a G262 Gleaner motor. The trouble we are having is
with the throttle linkage. We had help from a Cockshutt Tractor owner that told us the Govoner was bad and needed to be replaced with an AC
D19 Govoner. We could use some help in the form of pictures to see what needs to be changed. There was a forum on here from 2008 about this
and I emailed the person that answered but didn't get a response. My husband had a Heart episode and is unable to finish the tractor. My
Grandsons wants to help him by finishing the tractor. Any help would be appreciated.

You need to post your question down on the oliver-cockshutt board. The Cockshutt Gurus hang out down there. I have 3 Cockshutts ,but do not have a 40.You may need to post pictures of what you have so others can take a look at what might be wrong.

What did he say was bad with the governor? I just finished rebuilding one from an E4 with the Buda engine. I'm not familiar with the AC engines but they are a little different from the Budas. Post some pictures or email them to me and I may be of some help. Email's open.
