My Ford 8n has a snow blade for the 3 pt hitch. I hooked it up today after not using it for a while and the 3pt hitch wont lower the blade to the ground. It stops a couple of inches short. It raises up just fine. I am no mechanic and know little about the tractor other than how to drive it. Its got new fluids just changed. If I move the small lever under the seat...it will go to the ground. Never had a problem with it before. Amy suggestions or do i head back to the local tractor mechanic?

probably have something out of adjustment or a part that shows it age. One place to start would be to buy an I-T FO-4 manual which will give you a lot of info.

hen all is correct, those will always drop an additional 2-3 inches when moved from Position control to Draft control. Neither to the ground.
