Ford 9n water pump

I have a ford 9n and when I get the engine above idling speed the water pump starts to squeak. I know its the water pump because i have sprayed PB spray right behind the belt pulley on the fan. When i do this it will quite down for a little while then squeak again. Can i fix this with a water pump lubricant or do i need to get a new water pump? I know the pump works becuase the radiator does get pressurized.

Get a new pump.

It's warning you it will soon do something bad at the most inopportune time!

Water pump has nothing to do with pressurizing the radiator! Temperature does that. Be sure it isn't a fan belt squeak.

Thanks. I found out that it was the fan belt. How do i tell if the water pump is bad or not?

A bad pump will wobble or leak coolant around shaft.
