Ta not working in 460

First ask yourself this question - do you "need" the TA or do you "want" a working TA?

In other words, what's your ultimate use for the tractor? Will it benefit you to fix the TA other than in resell value? And will the resell value increase enough to justify the expense of TA repair/replacement?

I only mention this as I recently bought an old 460 (gas) with TA not working. For my needs, it won't matter. Probably wouldn't use it if I had it.

If you do the work yourself and for this you will need to do a double split of the tractor by the time your done you'll have a grand or better in it . Taking it apart is easy getting it back together and not distroying the ft seal when installing the T/A is tough . when you do one you get a rebuilt UNIT and a new / rebuilt t/a clutch and pressure plate and while your that far along ya may as well do the main clutch with all new pieces and parts . Having all the toys to do the job Priceless.
