Engine kits

Ok folks getting ready to split the tractor. Looking for opinions, pros and cons.

I have to replace the pistons and sleeves. Looking for opinions on where to get kits and domed or stock style flat top pistons.

Thanks, Jeremy

It would be nice to know what tractor you have. Not all have sleeves. Is it a gas or diesel? 2 or 4 cycle? What are you going to use it for when completed? What about the head, crankshaft and connecting rods. Are you doing a first class rebuild or a barnyard overhaul?

Guess that info would help.
42 Farmall B. Not needing a hard working tractor this is just something for me to do I don't even need a tractor. It was heading for scrap and I hatedon't the thought of it.

Usually you get the parts from the automotive machine shop that you take the short block and head to. He tells you what you need and don't need and makes sure that it goes together so that stuff like pistons hitting valves doesn't happen.

Just get the domed kits from here, get crank work done first so you know what it cleans up to.
