Restoring John Deere H1 hand operated plow

Just bought a very nice JD H1 hand operated plow. It's in nice shape and has original paint. Of course there is surface rust and chipped paint
as well. My question is should I degrease it, clean it, prime it and paint it? Or should I have it sandblasted and start that way?

First you should disassemble it, degrease, sand blast, paint, and then reassemble. I recommend going over the major exterior components of the plow with a wire brush and rough sand paper before painting. You don't have to do this, but i recommend it if your plow is very rusty. I did the same order on an old jd plow and it turned out great.

No problem.

One other question. How do I confirm what color the plow blade versus the "wheels" versus the frame should be? I don't quite know what the proper terminology is. I can tell the largest wheel is yellow but not the rest. Any idea where I can find that information?
