Have an old ford 4000 diesel tractor. I've noticed find
material getting stuck in my sediment bowl like black or dark
green or chunks of something. I've noticed find material
getting stuck in my sediment bowl like black or dark green or
chunks of something The closest I can come to explaining it
is kind of like a paint chip or something like that it's that shape.
I've read most likely algae or something.

I am posting this hoping somebody follows my thought We
live in the 21st-century, yes we're not flying around in cars like
the Jetsons but isn't there any kind of additive that I could put
in my tank that will dissolve this crap without me having to pull
it drained it pressure washing etc.

Any help is appreciated !!

I've not ever seen algae in gasoline tanks...but I suppose it's possible. Have seen it frequently enough in diesel tanks though....blackish slimy stuff...not hard and chunky. Caused by water in the fuel

There are additives for that. One that comes to mind is power service bio clean. Just saw it today at the auto parts store. I have not used it but my brother has and said it worked well.

How difficult would it be to remove the fuel tank? It might be a good idea to wash the inside of the tank with a power washer. Then pour some alcohol in the tank and rinse it out to cut the water that is left in it.

Clean the tank and put one of these strainers in tank.

Get one of those $2.99 kerosene siphons from your local hardware, and siphon a few gallons of fuel out while steering the end around the bottom of your tank. Siphon into milk jugs so you can see what is in there, and pour back as much as you can without putting crud back in.
