How do I test the water pump? I can not tell if coolant is circulating when I look under the fill cap. I can not tell if it is flowing or just jiggling from vibration.

Is the tractor getting hot?
Could have a stuck closed thermostat. Coolant may not flow visibly until the tractor warms up and the thermostat opens.

isconnect top radiator hose and start it........you will know......and then clean up. I've done it & it does work in finding broken and working pumps.
