I need to replace a freeze plug. The ford tractor master parts catalog does not show
or mention freeze plugs. If anyone has replaced the freeze plug faceing the battery I
will appreciate any advice. I have been told to find brass freeze plug. Only replacing
one I hope but need correct size if possible. Reason for replacing is it has a screw and
rubber washer in it and now is best time with tractor all apart. THANKS!

remove the plug and measure the hole.

The ford part # is 7HA6266A, $4.65 ea. OD 2.069/.074". All 53 to 64 134/172 engines take the same one. The NH Ford parts manual calls them core hole plugs, probably get them at any goods parts store.
