NH 269 bearing removal

I have a New Holland 269 square baler and am having some real trouble trying to remove the plunger roller bearings. There is an allen bolt in the center which I've heated with a torch and drowned several times with rust release penetrant and I still can't budge that bolt to remove the broken roller bearing.

Any advise other than drilling and screw extracting?

Thanks!

have you tried a hand impact driver? may be worth a shot. heres a link to one from sears. you smack it with a hammer. used a lot on motorcycle repairs

I have not tried that! I have one of those, but have only used it on phillips head screws. I'm gonna give it a whirl. I did try an allen wrench socket (on a ratchet wrench), but it started to strip, so I quit. I'll let ya know how it goes.

if it strips, you may try and either tack weld the bit, braze it in or silver solder it in. you will sacrifice the bit, but if t saves you time, it may be worth a shot.
