Stripped Thread Repair in TO20 Hydraulic Pump

Need advice on repair of stripped threads (9/16-18 ) for the safety valve in the aluminum block of the hydraulic pump on a 1948 Harry Ferguson TO20. Anyone ever successfully made a repair and if so how? I was thinking of trying a Time-Sert insert due to the thinner wall of this insert. I only have about 1/5 in to outer wall on one side. But local tractor dealer told me no threaded insert would work. I don't understand why when the safety valve screwed into the aluminum threads.

never had to fix one of them , but i can tell you that time-sert makes a very good insert, have a couple of them kits myself , i
think it would be the best bet. make sure you locktite it in with red or green locker & dont get any in the pump . hopefully the
alum. is of good quality or it my not tap out well but what do you have to loose at this point .

Thanks for answering. I'm also considering EZ-Lok which would be much cheaper as they don't require a special tool. Specs indicate they are designed for weaker metals like aluminum.
