steering cylinder nut

hello again gentlemen
well I got the axle off yesterday and built a tool to back off the nut holding the ball on to the cylinder. but it will not move at all I used pb blaster and heat and have gotten almost nowhere. Any suggestion? Joe

We had some at the mining company where I worked on a Cat 988 loader that we finally had to put in
a lathe and machine them off. We were able to save the 2" diameter shafts by doing it this way.The machinist was
good enough at his trade we could just screw new nuts onto the rods. Gene Davis Tennille, Ga.
