I am new to this Forum and I joined because I think that I can benefit immensely by the wealth of experienced tractor enthusiasts that converse here. I am a first time tractor owner located on a Caribbean island. I acquired a 1967 MF 135 3Cyl. Perkins AD3 152 Diesel that was imported from the UK Coventry, many years ago. The records suggests that it labored hard both in undulating cane fields as well as in paddy growing marshy lagoons...... but the brute still fires up in one crank. It needs some serious restorative work. I selected the hydraulics first because it is the weakest and most neglected. However, I think I made a misstep by buying replacement parts online based on vendors advertisements - assurances alone. Big mistake. I am working on the Lift Cover and found that comparing the new replacement Quadrant assembly against the original exposes some major structural differences. I have since decided to restore the original by replacing the worn shafts, bushings and rollers. I also replaced the cracked support. My problem is that I am unable to reconfigure the rollers to their correct positions. The outer shaft -controlling the Position- is no problem because there is a key in the lever which makes it a one way installation. The inner shaft -controlling the Draft- is held by a pin that secures the lever to the shaft and it will install in two positions -180 Deg apart. I have attached a photo to ignite some conversation - advice etc.........
