I started disassembling the main clutch of a Case 830 today. I was sure I broke something more than once. At one point a sealing ring started breaking in to pieces. I kept stopping and rereading the manual to find out what I was doing wrong, thought for sure I broke the impeller.
Turns out the main clutch piston was partially seized. One part may need to be machined but I will be able to clean up the rest my self. Sure was nerve wracking hearing the pops and seeing pieces of metal falling out.
I posted picture in the project journal area if anyone is interested.
