Hi everyone,
I'm replacing the wartime pressurized core on my 44 Model A and I have a core from a 46 A that's unpressurized that I'm hoping to use. Would there be any issues with this aside from the temperature gauge
being a little off?
In the spirit of keeping the looks original, I was also hoping to reuse the rad top from my 44, with the pressurized lid and filler neck. I figure I can drill a hole through the pressure cap to make it
unpressurized. Thoughts?
Second question: My axle seals are shot and I am pulling the axles to replace bearings, so chances are I'm going to mangle the felt retainers. The '44 (S/N 534789) has the A264R retainers in it now, but can
I replace them with a new set of inner and outer retainers from S/N 547322+?
Last thing is I've had issues confirming whether the filler neck on my rad is original from wartime or not. I'll add a picture here and hopefully shine some light on it.
