I bought my wife a 706 to play with. It came with a issue that
we didn't know about. The left rear sometimes locks up when
you turn hard to the left. I haven't had the time to look at it yet
but it sounded like the brake was grabbing?? Any advice
would be appreciated.

I think those used the same disc brakes that a lot of other brands used at the time. Probably brake dust or some rust on the actuator balls.
