Engine rebild price at shop

I have a older Massy Ferguson 35 deluxe, diesel with the 3 cylinder Perkins. How many hours do you think it will run before needing rebuilt. I have read in forms that these engines will run up to 14,000 hrs. Will the parts be hard to find, and how much do you think it will cost for a engine rebuild at a shop.

I do not know what you plan on using it for, but unless you know there is something wrong with the engine, it should go for many more years without a complete overhaul. Now it may start to use some oil and such, but with good maintenance you should be able to keep it running. I the past farmers would plow all day at full throttle for weeks at a time and many other chores that would wear an engine out.

But to answer your question, it would probably cost at least $2000 for an overhaul, and that is doing it yourself. Having it done could be more like twice that.

I have a shop and I could overhaul it for 2k unless it needs excessive machine work.
