MF-135 Strange Engine, Any Help Appreciated!

I have a hand me down MF135 that I was told had a 3 cylinder Perkins engine. In looking at the serial number, that doesn't seem to be the case. The stamp on the block above the pump says CE31133U748899L. I have no idea where to find out what type motor this is, or where to begin looking for manuals. I'd like to do an overhaul on it, but knowing what it is before I start would be handy. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Tractor data shows it as being produced with
a 2.2l and a 2.4l 4cyl continental gas as well
as a 3cyl Perkins in both gas and diesel

Depends what year it is. From about mid 1967 on, the gasers were 3 cly. perkins and the older ones were continental 4 cyls. I think all deisels were 3 cyl. perkins.

it's a Perkins

CE31133 = 152 DSL Direct Injection, Cast Liner, .150" Flange, 35? Valves; 5 Ring Piston, Keyed Crank, Lip Seal

So would the overhaul kits they sell on this site fit this motor? The salesman was confused about the type when I gave him the model number. Would the standard 3 cylinder Perkins kits seals, gaskets, etc fit? Thanks so much for the help.

There should be an id plate on the left side of the engine just below the head. That will identify which it is. Unless of course it's been removed for some reason.
Otherwise at the risk of sounding very obvious.... Is it 3 cylinder or 4? Gas or diesel? Gas will be plainly evident with the presence of distributor and wires etc.
You need to know exactly which motor you have before ordering anything.
