After switching the tractor from 9V to 12V, the tractor starts up and runs and has run pretty good. After about 30 minutes the tractor shuts it's self off. Where in the system should I look to solve this issue? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

1.Not enough resistance in ignition circuit allowing coil to overheat
2.Ignition switch going bad
3.Fuel restriction

#1 bet you mean 6 volts to 12 volts not 9 volts to 12 volts LOL

#2 the moment it dies on you jump off and check that you have a good blue/white spark at all the plug wires that jump a 1/4 inch gap or more. If you have a good spark go to 3
#3 pull the carb drain plug and make sure you have a good steady flow of gas that will fill a pint jar in under 3 minutes. Yes catch the gas in a jar.

If no spark of weak try a hot wire from the battery ignition side to the coil and check for spark again. Ya not likely to get spark since good chance your coil has smoked and you need to replace it but if you have spark when hot wire then the problem is from the coil back to the battery and could be a bad ballast resister or ignition switch

My 2N starting doing the same thing about a year ago only it would sputter a couple times and just shut down. if you let it set about 5-10 minutes it would start right back up
and run for 20-30 minutes then same thing!!! Even did it plowing snow in winter time!!! I replaced the coil last winter has never bothered again no matter how long I use it!!! Its
still 6 volt system!!!
