2-105 white hydraulic issues

I have a 2-105 white. One hydraulic control will move forward, back to center, but not to the back. I believe it is the same valve that was used in the cockshutt 1855. Can anyone pinpoint the problem for me?

Can you move the handle back to the raise position? If so are you trying to tell me the detent will not hold it in position? How about the other valve does it work like it should? Do you have a manual? There is a detent adjustment on those valves.

If you are saying the lever itself will not go back past center, as in it hits some obstruction...

Look the external linkage over, be sure there is nothing come loose or gotten behind the lever and is stopping it.

If all looks well, you'll need to open up the valve.

But before you do, be sure whatever it controls is sitting down fully on the ground so there is no pressure on the system. Carefully break the lines loose first if that is the only way to get it down or are in doubt about it having no pressure!

Open up the valve, most have a cap that screws on the back, or a snap ring, or a roll pin. There will be a centering spring on each side that centers the spool when the lever is released. Chances are the spring has broken and is jamming the spool, or something has gotten in the valve and is stopping it. Be gentle with the spool and bore, that is a very precise fit, don't want to score it or burr it!
