put in a hydraulic pump overhaul kit(part no. hpok1)a new lift cylinder and piston with rubber o-ring and leatther backup washer.new hydro fluid, all new gaskits and adjusted linkage per fo-4 manual.and a new pto shaft.
the pto shaft spins great but i have no lift in the arms!what have i done wrong??? i'm stuck!!!
any help would be greatly appreciated!!! joe

Did you get the control rod into the valve on the pump correctly?? Almost takes two people to set the lift cover back on and get the control hooked up correctly. I'd pull the inspection cover off and have a look see and make sure things are moving as they should be. Or you could have a bent control rod which I have also seen and if so it is not moving the valve enough to make the lift work

when putting it back together rod was not bent and was seated in valve.everything with a couple inches fluid on it seem to b fine!!!
could it still b air locked???

How can it air lock when the pump siting under the fluid?? No way air can cause a problem since the pump is under the fluid. What can b happening in the control valve many be stuck. Again as I said pull the inspection cover off and watch things and make sure the control valve does in fact move like it needs to and or reach in and make it move

If it would help send me an e-mail and I'll give you my phone number so that you can talk one on one and maybe get things working. I have talked a good many guys threw there problems over the years

You may have to drop pump aain and check to see if you reversed the chambers. If they don't go back on same side of pump, you will cover up oil hole.
Ask me how i know.
