I recently purchased a ford 3000 with an 8 speed transmission and live pto. It has a leak around the pto shaft, and I am trying to pull the pto shaft out to fix the leak, but the shaft won't come out like I've read it should. I removed the side cover to see if it was stuck to the collar that is on the pto engage lever fork but it all looks to be in order. Is there any reason that it would not come out? Been at it for two days now and it's becoming very frustrating. Any help would be appreciated.
