I do believe one of sensors is bad on my 2006 Silverado. How do you check without a reader and if bad can just the sensor be changed.

"How do you check without a reader"

You don't. Code readers are $20 and up, not to mention what an autoparts store may do for free, or rent you a scanner for a nominal fee.

Scan it, and go from there.

If you have a dvom digital volt ohm meter, set in on ac current, unplug the sensor and put the probes on the sensor. Spin the wheel and see if you get a reading. If nothing at all its probably that sensor. Left front is pretty common on your yerar truck. Also check the plugs for corrosion. Also, check your wheel bearings. If they get loose, they will trigger an abs code. Some auto parts stores will scan your truck for free.

You can also use a scope. We have a Pico at our school, but I bought a Hantek off of ebay for $70.00. It works pretty good for a cheaper scope. We also scope fuel pumps, window motors, primary ignition etc. with the low amp probe. Works great.
