Head Gasket Failure?

Hi all. New to the Forum and this is my first post.

I have a MF 20C with a Perkins AD3.152. While using it I notice the temp gauge in the "red". Parked the tractor and the next day I checked the coolant level in the radiator and there wasn't any coolant. Refilled radiator and ran the tractor for a little while without issue. Parked tractor and when going to use it the next day I noticed some white substance underneath the tractor. I checked the radiator and it was empty. Filled with water and started engine and white sludge started spewing from the breather tube. Shut down engine and checked dip tube, sludge began flowing out the dipstick tube. Drained oil pan and it was full of white sludge (water and oil). Blown head gasket? Thoughts?

Thanks,
Steve

Test the sneer and gauge . Sleeves could be rotten with cavitation pin holes due to depleted corrosion inhibitor in antifreeze . Just because the stuff tests -40F doesn't mean the anti freeze is good.

I'm pretty sure those Perkins are a dry sleeve engine, like 99.9% sure.

Before you go popping it apart, first thing I would do is pull the valve cover and the oil pan, fill and pressurize the cooling system and see if you can find where it is leaking first. If you can't locate it then pull in apart for more inspections.

Thanks for all your feedback.

I pulled the head and cleaned the associated parts and flushed the radiator. Straight edged the head and it doesn't appear damaged. Waiting for parts.

i am ivor from uk and I have been talking to a guy who used to work at a MF dealer and he said the 135 has dry liners and concerning coolant in sump he said it could be head gasket or what he has seen is the plate behind the water pump corroding through

That plate has been considered. Gonna keep my fingers crossed that it is the head gasket. Thanks for the info.
