Lights on my ROPD

Have a MF 451. It's my primary hay feeding tractor. The lights are blocked by the FEL. I'd like to put a light bar on top of the ROPD. 1. Got a recommendation 2. Will bugs swarming it at night, drive me crazy?

If you put LEDs on, no worry about the bugs. They are attracted to heat, not the light.

I've been wanting to do the same thing, so I'd be interested in what you come up with.

Not many replies. I guess I just need to get an LED light bar, and see what happens. Might point one both directions.

Son put an led lite bar on the top of the cab of our 2090 Case. Lit up the hay field like day time. Go for the light bar. Look on Amazon ,lots of reasonable ones there.

(quoted from post at 11:19:12 10/06/16) That is a fallacy, LED's attract fewer bugs than incandescent, but still attract them.
es they still attract, the WWW has nearly as much misinformation as information.

Bugs are not attracted to the yellow area of the spectrum, thus the old yellow porch lights.

I used to think that LED's were super efficient, that is a fallacy, they are just much less inefficient than incandescent.

Thanks David, I learned something.
Actually, studies indicate that most insects are attracted to the blue spectrum and also to heat, and less the yellow or warmer colors. However, given an absence of either of these, they will learn to go to LEDs and warmer colors.

I'm pretty tall, and my head is about the height of the bottom of the ropd, and maybe 10 inches forward of it. I guess if I do this, I will be swarmed.
