my tractor came with no generator so i put on a kubota dynamo, i have the regulator as well but im not sure how to wire it up. i know the two blue wires from the dynamo go to the two blue ones on the regulator and assuming the black from the regulator is ground. where do the red yellow and green wires go, coming from the regulator?

Kubota has used a LOT of different alternators!

Are there any name brands on the alternator or regulator?

If there is a starter/alternator shop near you, they may be able to show you the wiring diagram, even test them for you.

If any doubt about it working, for the price of a low amp Delco 10SI, and the simplicity of wiring it, that may be an alternative.

Red is regulated DC output(usually to big terminal on starter). Yellow brings power from key switch. Green is for charge indicator lamp. Black is the ground, as you said.
