Looking for any ideas my te20 misses under load I have replaced distributor cap rotor points wires plugs cleaned carb multiple times and reset per book instructions cleaned fuel lines and gas tank can't figure out where I get the miss from any ideas I pull a 7 foot Dearborn 14-16

Trouble shoot then parts NEVER the other way around.
Have you check the valves and made sure the tappets are set as per spec??

Have not done that but most were pretty had the plugs looked like they were from the 50s the wires were cracked so you could see the wires inside the cap and rotor were corroded beyond belief and it was missing a cog on the distributor so that was all pretty nessisary the coil seems to be good nice blue spark even when warm

So after checking valve adjustment and then deciding that that was not the problem having the head checked and that is good I'm still getting a miss under load checked and rechecked timing I'm at a loss hard to pull wires when it's missing driving up a hill ... to see what cylinder it would be
