800 LP Radiator

I have a 800 Lp tractor that I need to replace the radiator. When I went to install the new radiator I ordered it doesn't have a place to connect the line going to the propane pump. Do they make a radiator for lp tractors or do I need to tap into the new radiator? Thanks in advance.

Mags,What brand of 800 LP,there are several 800 models in different brands. If there is no place on the water pump or lower hose and no place on the block or upper hose or neck to tap in to for coolant. It might be best to take the radiator to s shop and have them put some taps in the upper and lower radiator tanks like the old radiator had.Take the old radiator with you to the radiator shop so they can get the taps put in the right place.

I doubt you will find a radiator with the proper fitting. Tapping into the radiator is not something I personally would attempt to do, but If you are comfortable doing it, go for it!

Another solution would be to take it to a radiator shop that does truck/industrial radiators. I've never tried to get this done, but I'm sure it is possible, may be pricey though.

Did you look for any other places to connect the hose? It would need to connect on the low pressure side of the system, anywhere in front of the thermostat, down to the front side of the water pump.

If there is no place to connect, might find one of these. It could be cut into either the upper or lower radiator hoses.
radiator tee fitting

Its Ford 800 series lp tractor. The radiator I ordered has the right part number but is missing a place to connect a small hose that is connected to what I think is a propane pump or regulator. I didn't think to take pictures today but will tomorrow. Maybe that will help show what I'm dealing with. The t fitting might work.

I found out it's the cooling hose that is used to warm the converter/regulator. The current one is hooked up to a fitting at the bottom of the radiator. The new radiator does not have this fitting. Will teeing off the hose going to the water pump provide enough flow to the converter/regulator?

"Will teeing off the hose going to the water pump provide enough flow to the converter/regulator?"

Yes, it should give sufficient flow. Be sure to measure the ID of the rad hose and the heater hose barb before ordering the tee.
