1945 Farmall A

Hello, I have a 1945 A Farmall and the fan assembly has a bad bearing. Anyone know if and where I can get just a bearing or do I have to replace the whole assembly? Also, the tractor has sat outside a while and the govenor is not responding when the power lever is adjusted to increase power. Can i overhaul the govenor or do I have to replace it. Thanks for your help. [/b]

Been a while since I messed with the fan bearing on one but I think they can be replaced. As for the gov problem make sure all the linkage mores freely and it has no broken or missing springs. I think I have one of those fan/bearing assembly out in the shop for one of the parts tractor I have

The fan hub doesn't have replaceable "bearings".

Hubs of two different designs/mfg's were used.
