Conversion of Model 60 generator to alternator

I need to know what is involved in converting a Model 60 John Deere from a generator to a 12V alternator. I have seen the "one wire GM alternators". I know that they work good but I didn't like the way that they looked.
At a recent auto show I saw a 1929 Ford Model A that had been converted to a 12 volt alternator using an alternator that was designed to look like the original generator. Does anyone know if such a "look alike" alternator is made in 12V that would fit the John Deere Model 60?

Search "alternator that looks like generator".

Here's one that dared to show prices!

I'm with B&D, fix the one you have unless you need extra power for accessories.
