New Holland 254 Tedder/Rake

Trying to change the left tine drive cam on a NH 254 tedder/rake. Have removed the two roll pins in the flange that appears to hold the cam (moves to select the units function, ie, rake or fluffing; rollers contact this cam). I thought the flange would fall off or at least come off without any problems when removing the roll pins.

Have spent several hours "tapping", medium flange heating with MAAP torch and "tapping", hot flange heating with MAAP torch and tapping (strong but not "beating the dickens out of it").

Cannot get the flange to move, period.

The parts diagram at NH shows the flange with the two roll pins (one on each side) and the flange appears to fit over the bottom end of the "pipe" that holds the cam and wheel shaft in place.

Has anyone here had any experience with the 254 and especially removing this flange/cam? Cam and flange appear to be steel. Always keep the rake under a shed.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated,

Charlie
