Looking for a repair professional for our Allis Chalmers 175

Hello, I would appreciate any suggestions for finding a repairman for this tractor and advice about the availability of brake parts. We bought it in January 2016, the former owner had been using it without brakes for a long time, we don't know why but suspect he did not find them necessary. Are there any brake parts that have become unobtainable? It may cost us a lot to transport it to a shop when we find one so we want to be reasonably sure that it can be repaired.

Would help us help you if you said where your at. I did the brakes on a AC 190 last summer and believe me the parts for it where not cheap and good chance there not on that one either. If I remember right the parts alone for that 190 for each side was $400 so $800 total just in parts

Likely he didn't replace the brakes because its both a pain in the butt and expensive. My father had a 185 that the brakes were shot on and thats why he didn't. I hope you got a great price on it, seems like any repair parts for those tractors are expensive and difficult to obtain.

Thanks, Tractor Guru, sorry I did not see your post sooner! We are in Grantville, GA about 40 miles along I-85 south of Atlanta.

Thanks, M. Doud, we are willing to pay a reasonable high amount because we will use it to do things we'd otherwise have to pay to get done, like put in a pasture fence for our 2 horses (and then we will no longer pay for board :D ), landscape on slopes, etc. Plus my husband will have even more fun with it after a long day indoors and that has considerable value! Wade Tractor from Griffin GA came out and picked it up, another great value to us. We visited their shop first and hubby was like a kid in the candy store looking at all the new equipment.
