Trouble getting 1951 started after winter.

I have a 1951 8N which I have had had for about 9 years. At the end of the last season I placed tractor in my tractor shed. At that time it was running fine. This season I have been unable to start it. I have replaced spark plugs, fuel filter, oil filter, distributor cap and oil filter. Batter is good and starter is turning. I put in a new carburetor two seasons ago. Any suggestions as the procedure I should be using?

heck for spark. After a long set, points very often develop a corrosion/insulating film and will not conduct current. Must be cleaned well or replaced..

JD,As JMOR said clean or replace the points, setem at .025 thousands, remove the air tube from the carb and give it a shot of stating fluid in the carb throat while cranking it.Are you sure you have the plug wires back in the correctly in the distributor cap after you replaced them? Two oil filters?

I just used one oil filter. I am sure distributor wires are in correct socket. I need to check and replace points. I have a new set of points from the tune up kit from Yesterday Tractor. I will update as soon as the rain stops. Thank you both.

Always always always TROUBLE shoot then parts NEVER the other way around or your very likely to cause you self more problems then you fix.
That said try these things
#1 check for spark at the plug wires and the center wire of the distributor cap. You need a good blue/white spark at all those that will jump a 1/4 inch gap or more. If you do not have spark check and clean the point which are the most likely point of the problem. If you have spark go the #2
#2 pull the carb drain plug and make sure you have a good steady flow of gas for 3 minutes and in that time will fill a pint jar and yes use a jar so you can lok at the gas for water/dirt etc.
#3 check and clean out the air cleaner oil cup since if it is full of water and dirt it can cause a flooding condition

You haven't told us if it has any spark or what kind of fuel flow to the carb if any. If points are clean you might check condenser.

Will complete the above tomorrow if the weather let's me. Thank you for the inputs.
