New Idea manure spreader

Ive got a New Idea ground drive manure spreader, no. 206, lot no. 418, 95 bushel, 1961. The chain on the ground drive seems to be riding off to side of big wheel sprocket and as a consequence doesnt engage the chain too well, and catches occasionally. The stationary chain guide doesnt allow the chain enough room and is out of whack with the sprocket. i.e. doesnt line up correctly. This may be due to age, wear and tear I guess. Is there an easy fix for this? Has the sprocket, axle, and tire moved perhaps over time? Has anyone had this problem? This spreader is in really good shape, stored inside, and greased well from previous owner.
