Removing Fuel Injector

I am doing a re-sleeve job on a John Deere 2640. While I was pulling the head, three of the four fuel injectors came out fairly easily, but
the fourth is giving me trouble. It really stuck. Since this is the first time I've done this type of job, I was unsure of how much force I
could put on it........I didn't want to break something. So I sprayed it with Liquid Wrench and I'm going to let it soak for a few days till
I can get back to it next weekend. Any advice on how best to remove a stuck fuel injector?

Also since I have these injectors out, should I do anything to them before putting them back in?

thanks for the help.

Think you have the pencil injectors. The three you have out should be cleaned and reset, and if check out OK then the two seals replaced. The top seal next to the inlet seals compression, the lower carbon stop keeps the carbon from building up over time so they can be removed. IF the top seal does not hold compression then the lower seal will blow, allowing carbon to build up around the injector. That's most likely what you have on the stuck injector. With the head off they can be driven out, but will probably be ruined in the end. A 3/8 drill bit can be used to clean the holes, and make sure the hold down spring set are in good condition. Some engines were single spring, some had a three spring set for hold down. The top gasket will weak if they are not held down right.

I pulled the head and can see the tip of the injector just slightly protruding from the bottom of the head. Can I just try tapping it from the bottom?

One tap on the tip and the injector is done.
Then again those injectors owe you nothing. The tips are worn and the pop pressure will be low. Rebuilding no longer saves $$$ with common injectors .
Order new AI injectors and have the pop pressure tested before installation.

Yes, it can be tapped out from below with a 3/8 inch steel rod, spot drilled on the end for tip clearance. If not too tight the injector MIGHT be saved, but if really tight it may be bad when it's out.
