53 jubilee hydro leak

53 jubilee had a rough past life and i am trying to rehab it. in the past some one broke the rear end case around the pressure tube and they repaired it fairly well, then the installed a hydro tube extension , when ext. is installed it resembles a hollow alignment pin 1/2"d x 1 1/2" long with a Ferrel style seal in the middle.
the problem is my partner in grease said it does not belong because it's not in the book ( also he is ex marine motor t gunny ) i need to find out if this was an aftermarket fix or what.
looking for any and all info..

the large end has 0 tolerance in the lift arm body, the small end fits into the pressure tube from bottom of housing to the cast flange on top with almost 0 tolerance.

i was kinda hoping for a picture showing it on the tractor. it laying on a table is like me telling you that I need help fixing something, where should i start.

( no context to go on! )
 
What I'm asking is to see pics of ALL the areas involved. t he damage, etc, and what you are seeing as a problem.

then we can sort this out.
