I have a 1948 ford 8n with front mount distributor with no spark
I have replaced coil , cap, points and rotor still nothing
Any suggestions?

First suggestion is trouble shoot then parts NEVER the other way around or you can add to the problem.
#1 are the points set at 0.015??
#2 are the points nice and clean as in when they open you can see a spark if you have the cap off??
#3 take the wire off the top of the coil and touch it on and off with the key on. If you get spark when you do the points are closed or you have a short in the distributor. Next if you can pull the cap off and make sure the points are open and do the same thing with the wire. If you still get a spark you have a short in the distributor for sure. Also you might try hot wiring it and see if it will run. If when hot wired it runs then your problem is from the coil back and maybe a bad ignition switch or wire

greed. troubleshoot first, then buy parts. for all you know it had a loose wire, and you may have bought a faulty coil, bad points and other bad parts and now have 4 problems to chase instead of 1.

first check power to the top of the coil. use a jumper wire if needed. go from there.
