I am restoring an 8n ford. it is a 49 with a front mount distributor. i have power going to
everything and all the wiring is hooked up correctly. i have a new coil. But i cant get any spark
going to my plugs. Any idea as to why there is no spark?

In most case a problem like that is the points are bad or set wrong or corroded or you have a short some place in the distributor. Front mount distributor the points should be set to 0.015

You do know the distributor comes off very easily? It will only go back on one way. I've seen people struggle trying to replace points with it on, near impossible!

With it on the bench, set the points, make sure the strap is not shorted, check the points with an ohm meter or test light to be sure they are making and breaking connection, then put it all together. Be sure you have power to the coil with the ignition on. Should work!
