I used to work at a local IH 40 years ago and I still do some repairs but today I come across something I have never seen before or perhaps I should say never heard before
there is a guy living about a mile away and a while ago he bought a MF 35 3 cyl with a reconditioned engine . it is fitted with a new hourmeter and has done 55 hours he phoned me to say his tractor is making a noise and asked could I have a look so i went when he started it there was a very loud noise
which seemed to be at the front.. I shouted stop it .. after trying a few more times with the same results I said I have never heard this before.. but when it was started again and run at about 1000 RPM for about 10 minutes it was ok until engine speed increased when it made same noise again.
I noticed it was fitted with a new dynamo and the pulley was not inline but only by a small amount
the oil pressure gauge was close to top mark .. anyone have any ideas to problem
