ford 4500 water pump

I just bought a 4500 ford backhoe I guess it needs the water pump replaced. it doesn't seem loose but I was told it leaked any help? I started it sounds good

Tonto1,Even though the the pump is not loose the seal could be bad and cause it to leak out the weep hole,and needs to be replaced.

could anyone post information on replacing waterpump or have a book for sale on the ford 4500 backhoe I think it is a 1970 3 cyc diesel
