Sherman Combo Transmission Rebuild Problem

Hello

Ive been rebuilding my Ford NAA, and have a Sherman combo to Install. Ive had to take 2 to make 1, and have rebuilt it with new bearings, etc. Its been worked on over a 2 year span. So, even though i took good notes, pictures, and have downloaded fine instructions and have manuals, i have something wrong.

The transmission shifts ok, but seems to drag some teeth when shifted into the step-up positon. I have to take it apart again to sort it out.

I am having trouble telling the difference between the two sliding collars on the drive/shift gears. Any advise would be helpful.

Thank you in advance

Sentnc,While the two sliding collars may look alike at first glance, they are not alike. Don't mix them up when assembling.

Thank you for your response. I have that picture, and have stared at it for hours wondering what the difference is. I now see that some of the teeth are rounded, and on the other they arent!

SUCKS getting OLD!

Thanks for your help! Just what i needed to jar my sences!
