Local Machinist has taken on a project -- and has done extremely well -- engine running -- each cylinder has 85# compression -- starts fairly well (for an updraft carb)
Issue is power -- he thought governor might be issue so he eliminated it - no change in power, but can tell that there is a definite lag between throttle movement and engine RPM change.
Thought that timing might need to be nudged -- found a plate behind distributor that we thought would be the retainer -- when bolts removed plate is "free" but nothing moves on Dist. (housing, nor internals)
Unsure if something is frozen, or broken?
Any ideas?
