My 3 point would lift, but start leaking down immediately, so decided to put new seals on the
piston. Every thing went well enough, and I reassembled everything after clean out and new oil
So I started her up and raised the arms. Unfortunately, they stayed up, so I hung my 7foot plow
on the back it still will not go down even with the engine off. I put new o rings and was careful
with the gasket. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Control valve stuck in the up position or the control arm linkage is not moving as it should or not hooked up as it should be. Time to pull the inspection plate off that one with the dip stick and have a look as what is going on

Well, went out this morning to see if anything changed. The plow was laying on the floor so it must have, drained down during the night. I started it up and moved the plow up and down several times. Then it stuck UP again. I shut it off but it stayed up. I moved the control lever up and down a few times but nothing. I went inside for, a couple of hours and went back out to find the blade on the ground again. Started the motor, put it UP and went for a ride thinking a few bumps might straighten things out. Parked it and it stayed up. Hmm

But you know, when it is running, I can feel some resistance in the control lever whe
n I'm moving it up and down. Then all of a sudden it is just free like it isnt contacting anything. When it does that, the lever just flops to the down position. And once, I had to hold the lever half way up manually so the blade wouldnt drop. Then it was back the usual problem. Something must be loose inside. I only unhooked 2 cotter pins and put them back it the same place . Hmm

Control valve could be sticking and if it does it would do what your having problem with and act like that.

Took the hydraulic cover off again. Everything looked fine and just like the parts schematic. Reassembled and started the tractor and raised and lowered the plow several times at about half way up. As soon as I raised it to full height it, stuck UP. After a half hour it finally dropped. So something is binding at the end of the travel where that plunger pushes the control valve (that multi piece rod that can be adjusted for length and takes a pin on one end and a ball on the other that fits in the control valve). Tomorrow I take the plow off again, remove the hydraulic cover and see if that rod got bent or is binding. Its getting cold here again in Michigan so I am not looking forward to working outside. Oh well. Thanks for the suggestion so far.

Pull the inspection plate off the side not the top cover and trouble shoot it in place. You can see and do a lot of things from the inspection plate and see what ahd why it is not working as it should with out moving 1500lbs plus
