I have a 1963 Super Dexta w/ the 3 cylinder Perkins diesel. How hard is it to replace the fuel injectors ? May need to pull and have them reconditioned. If reconditioned any recomendations on who can do that ? Feedback appreciated.
 
Your injectors have replaceable nozzle tips, need to check the CAV book to see which tip yours have if needed. Sometimes all they need is cleaned and reset.
 

Thanks for the feedback. What is involved with resetting the injectors ? Diesel and injectors are new to me since all of my past engine experience is with carburators. Once I put them back on is there any priming them or does the pump handle that ?
 
After injectors have been apart and cleaned, then re-assembled they have the opening pressure reset on the poptester and checked for leakoff rate, spray pattern, and if they are the pencil type the needle lift stop screw reset. Just happen to have some Oliver pencil injectors in the cleaner, like to soak them overnight for best results. The injection pump brings the fuel to each injector, it's job is to pressurize, time, and meter the correct fuel amount to each injector.
 

Let's start at the beginning. What tells you that they may need reconditionin? Most of us here prefer to do the easy low priced stuff before we get into difficult more expensive things.

Injector problems should be well down on your list. You first need to establish that a good flow of fuel is getting through the lines and filter to the injection pump. Older tractors usually come with a good amount of mud in the fuel tank which tends to plug lines at fittings as well as the filter.
