Lift Cylinder Replacement - Massey Ferguson 202

Hi

I'm replacing a leaking lift cylinder and piston on an early model MF202. The cylinder is part 184442M1, the 3". I have a couple questions...

1. Could the cylinder be bored to accommodate a 3 1/8" piston? I'm basing this on the assumption the 3.125" piston they sell for the larger cylinder would work.

2. Could the cylinder be replaced with this different cylinder - 190859M1? This unit is half the price. Says its pressure control, which I don't quite understand and couldn't find an easy answer on. I couldn't find the bolt pattern either.

I couldn't find anything online as to whether any of this might make sense, or too risky...

Thanks!

Is the original cylinder scored? If not just replace the rings and put it back together. The design of the system is such that it should settle slowly with the engine off, NOT hold the three point up.

Yeah the cylinder is scored. 3pt drops quick when clutch pushed in. Saw thru inspection plate it was leaking. Couple decent gouges in there, pretty rough. Was hoping it was just a ring issue...
