LED light opinions

As I get older I find I need good light when working on things. I had a Ray-O-Vac LED headlamp but it didn't last a year of occasional use. I want to get another one so what are your preferences? I want a good light that will last. Also wondering if anyone has tried those "military grade" flashlights. The ads keep popping up in my browsers. Too good to be true, maybe?

I have had Ray-O-Vac flash lights and the company I drove for put them in our semi tractors and they were the biggest piece of junk. I bought my own flash light(MAG-LITE) and had no problems with it and always used Duracell batteries. The Mag-Lite also has a spare bulb in end cap of flashlight .

I've found that the dewalt 20v led flash lite with rechargeable battery that you can buy for your battery drill is very nice, plus it has the swivel head to aim where you need it

I have a couple of hats with the LED bulbs and battery built into the rim.
Sporting goods stores sell them.
Handier than a third hand, adjust your hat once and the light stays where you need it.

Those lights came in handy. When I drove truck we left in the morning before the sun came up and they were handy for checking oil and fuel on trucks. I still use mine when working under hood of vehicle where you can't use a drop light.

They have a $100 flashlight at a local hardware store. Its nice, well made, and makes lots of light. Very cool toy and couldnhurt someone if you poke themmin the face with the lens ring.
The "Larry flashlight" is also a great flashlight, at ten bucks but not much of a weapon.

Ya want a light for your beanny , Ya can beat Wheat light . yea they are a little bulky with the cord and battery but over 18 hours of battery life per charge high and low adjustable beam and on high out shine anything i have ever seen . Got mine way back in the early 70's used it durinng the coal hauling days coon hunting in the oil patch on the farm while working on stuff at night in the field. and now in need of the third battey .

MagLite has a LED replacement bulb for their bulbs. Pricy but bright, a noticable improvement over conventional bulb.

Got a couple single LED flashlights - 3 AAA battery lights from Sam's Club. "Element" is the brand name. Heavy duty, durable, extremely bright. Highly recommended.
