Case 530ck fluid

I have a question about my old case 530 ck with model 32 loader and backhoe. I haven had it very long and don't know any history on the machine. I traded a couple jet skis for the case and don't plan on working it real hard, just personal stuff. I'm going through it as I can. Replaced numerous hoses, repacked a couple cylinders, changed engine oil, hyd oil and filter. I'm running ISO 46 chevron hyd fluid in the hyd system. I have easy access to it and run it in all me stuff, bobcat, stump grinder, splitter, and the case 530. Is this fluid ok for this machine? I want to change the trans/converter fluid and final/rear end oil. Both have water (milky fluid) I'll put 90w in the rear end when done and tch or hytrans in the trans. I need to flush the old milky fluid out first tho. Would my ISO 46 work to flush the old fluid out and can I run ISO 46 in the trans? I just don't want to spend a lot of $$$ on fluid that I'm going to just flush out. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome!

Not real sure how to answer this... Using as a flush would "probably" be OK. Not sure what's in the
transmission. If there are wet clutches or brake linings, it could be a problem. The ISO 46 oil is thinner
than the hytrans, so I wouldn't run it as a substitute.

Someone down on the Case forum below might have a better answer.

Thanks for the reply Steve. I was able to do a little research today, contacted my local case dealer. They told me that the transmission/gear box takes gear oil and the converter takes the hytrans fluid. Napa auto sells a hytrans fluid for a reasonable price, so I picked up a few gallons to flush the converter with. As for the gear box and rear end, I'm going to flush with gear oil. Expensive flush. I have a tree service biz so that oil will not go to waste. I save all my used oil and use it as saw bar oil. As for refilling, the rear end will be filled through the dipstick just in front of the seat? Where do I fill the converter? Through the breather? And where do I fill the trans/gear box? My manual Is vague on the refilling part. Thanks again.

I filled mine through the plug on the left of the starter I'm not sure if that's what it's for but I drained all the fluid out after an hour of running it and both plugs drained as much as they did the first time I drained them.

Thanks for the reply bdl67. That's where I filled the converter also. The plug on the right side just below the fuel shut off. I'll run the machine for a while then drain and change the filter again. I'll go a while longer on the rear end oil. I forgot to put the plug in before I started filling, oops. About two gallons on the floor before I noticed the oil slick.
