Manifold torque

How much torque should be applied to manifold bolts on a 1945 SC Case. The studs are 4 inches long and 3/8 inches in diameter.

A lot of variables there... Unless someone comes up with a factory recommendation, there is still a
possibility the studs have been changed, or the condition may be deteriorated with age.

If you have installed new studs and nuts, and know the grade, you can search "stud torque tables" and get the
torque value.

Personally, I would just tighten them by feel. Start in the middle, do a partial tighten, work toward the
ends, then go back to the middle for final tightening, work to the ends. Then do a final check when it's
warm.

I never did torque manifold bolts on my SC's. I just start
with the two center studs. Snug them and then the two
outside studs. Then Slightly tighten the centers again and
repeat with the outsides.
