Deere 5020 Oil Filter O-Ring?

Deere 5020 oil filter o-ring ? Question. Dealer sold me an o-ring to change oil in my 1968 John Deere 5020. Cant find where this goes, looked in the manual and no help. I did change the Transmission filter today and figured out that o-ring placement correctly.
Is the o-ring even used on this iten (oil filter)? Too big around to go at back of canister housing. Not showing on parts diagram. Its sunday and i need to install filter this weekend.

I'm gonna guess they sold you the O-ring that seals the filter housing to the oil pump, WAY inboard of where you are going to be... Key #12.
