Hello. Well i kind of have a problem. several years ago i started to overhaul a 4020. found some cylinders scoured,
and the crankshaft has been burned. So i started in, and things went crazy in life, and never got done.
I've did the hard part, i've pulled the sleves. only thing not done is to pull the crank. cant remember if i
have to split the tractor to do that.
i'm not that good of an engine man. what would be a reasonable cost to put things back together ? as far as
parts, a think a crank runs about 1500, a kit about 1300, then 200 for a gasket kit. also, any ideas on what a
rebuilt head would run ? my figuring is, it might be cheaper to buy a rebuilt rather than have it rebuilt.
i can't remember what else was wrong with it.....seems to be a shifter or maybe cluch.......seems to me that a
cluch kit is around 400, but you most likly have to split it, which i think is 1000, then labor to do the work.
wish i was better than i am on all of this.
thanks for the input
